Am I ready to be a parent?

Parenting, like any of the options, is a big decision to make. It is completely normal to wonder whether you’re ready for it. You might be concerned about your ability to parent because:

  • You feel too young to be a parent
  • You aren’t financially stable
  • You don’t have an emotional support system
  • You aren’t sure how to continue with school or a career while parenting
  • Your significant other or family is not supportive

No matter your external circumstances, you do have a choice, and there are many resources available to help you through the parenting journey. MyLife Medical Center offers a number of free services in order to support you and walk with you if you choose to parent your child.

Parenting Classes

MyLife Medical Center offers parenting classes completely free of charge to those who want to become the best parent they can possibly be. We’ll discuss many relevant topics including what to expect during pregnancy, childbirth, infant care and safety, and loving discipline tactics. We will support and equip you with the information you need to be confident in your parenting ability.

Material Assistance

At MyLife Medical Center, we recognize that a new child involves a significant financial investment. Every woman deserves the right to make the choice she wants for her unexpected pregnancy – not a choice dictated by external circumstances. Because of this, we offer items your new child will need like baby clothes, blankets, diapers, baby swings and other supplies completely free of charge.

A2A

MyLife Medical is involved in a state-run program that allows us to financially help pregnant women who carry their babies to term and for 12 months after the birth of the baby. We can help with things like rent, car payments, car insurance, utility bills (including your monthly cell phone bill), gas cards, and so much more. There is no cost to you to get enrolled in this program. Contact us right away to see all the ways the A2A program can help reduce some of the financial stress you may be experiencing.

Parenting is both challenging and rewarding. Although your life circumstances may not be ideal right now, you’ll have a number of resources available to you as you take your first steps on this new journey. Schedule an appointment at MyLife Medical Center to learn more about the no-cost resources and services available to you.
