Considering Adoption?

You’ve probably heard about adoption before. Maybe you’ve even heard of the term “giving up a baby.” This couldn’t be farther from the truth. While adoption is often a very emotional and challenging decision, it is made from a place of love.

Many women have made the brave, selfless choice to place their baby in a loving family that can offer them a successful, happy life. There are multiple adoption plans to choose from that may suit your lifestyle and needs.

Open Adoption

An open adoption allows you, as the birth parents, to select the adoptive family and form a unique relationship with them and your child. You can regularly communicate with the family through letters, phone calls, and visits. With this plan, you’re in control. You choose the future you want for your child. By building a relationship, you can be assured that your child is in a safe, supportive environment.

Semi-Open Adoption

You can have regular contact with a semi-open adoption which takes place via a third party, like an adoption attorney or agency. You still choose the adoptive couple and determine the future you want your child to have.

Closed Adoption

A closed adoption is the most private option. With this option, all identifying records are sealed, and you will remain anonymous. No communication occurs with the adoptive family. While this isn’t as common today, women may choose a closed adoption if there are issues like safety concerns.
